I recently stayed at Colonial Gables in Belfast for a romantic weekend getaway. We were delighted to find an oceanfront view from our cozy porch. The well-equipped kitchenette allowed us to enjoy leisurely meals and the updated bathroom provided luxurious showers. The comfortable bed and upscale linens ensured a restful night's sleep. We loved the beach, swing set, and nightly bonfire, making it perfect for a family trip with our granddaughter. The location near charming shops and restaurants was a definite bonus, and we were able to take a day trip to Acadia National Park.
100% Recommend this hotel.

I loved the rustic rooms with the private balcony facing the water.

The lady at the front desk was very kind and helpful. The price was good and the room was appropriate for what we needed (nothing fancy). The location was midway between our different points of interest. The view from the back deck was very nice.
The room was not quite as bright/updated as it was pictured.

the location couldn't have been better, just a short drive to downtown. the village boasts its own private beach, which was a wonderful bonus. the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great suggestions for dining options. We had an amazing view of the water from our private patio. the cottage itself was beautifully decorated, spacious, and clean. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were steps away from the beach, which was small but lovely. we couldn't have asked for a better experience and would definitely stay here again.
Nothing negative to say. 👍.

the beachfront cottage was a perfect stay for my family with young children. The living room, kitchen, and dining table were all great amenities. The deck and well-kept grounds added to the authentic beachfront experience. We will definitely be visiting again!

Rate was competitive for a holiday weekend (Labor Day). Accomodations were typical low-price motel. Not great if you are used to major chains, but good enough if you are just crashing after a long day of outdoor activities. The cottages looked cute, but we just stayed in the motel portion. The rooms were quiet. There was a nice private deck that overlooked the property and Belfast Bay. Our room had a small refrigerator (not all did). Supplied real glasses and cups and provided coffee in the room.
Just average motel style accomodations ala bed/sheet/towels/pillows/shower/tv, etc. No hairdryer in room, but could ask for extras like hairdryer, pillows, etc.

Location to the water was excellent.
We did not get the deluxe room we ordered nor was there any communication to advise us of its unavailability despite an email from us prior to our arrival. After one shower, the hot water was out - many cold showers for our family of four. There were no linens for the pull out couch.

The cabin at Colonial Gables Oceanfront Village was nicely decorated and had everything I needed for preparing meals in the kitchen. The water pressure in the shower was great, and I enjoyed sitting on the partly covered porch with a glass of wine. I would definitely recommend this place and stay there again. The location is also convenient for day trips to nearby attractions.

Great view of the bay and beautiful landscaping. Convenient location for exploring nearby attractions. Friendly and helpful staff.
Flooring and woodwork in need of updating. Previous leak stains and damage on ceiling panels.

The view, cleanliness, quiet, relaxing, area restaurants, waterfronts
It would be nice to have some hooks to hang clothes on. Maybe some kind of activity to get to meet other guests.
